The book is perfect for the newbie and makes for a great desk reference for most any CCNA or Cisco Network Network Administrator who is not quite an expert but needs to perform mundane tasks.
I think mostly everyone ought to consider this as a one-stop shop for learning the basics of the Cisco IOS for the CCNA exams. One book with a lot of practical labs for a person who really wants to learn how and why to get the job.
